Robert P. Fann
ROBERT P. FANN began a successful insurance career in 1977, when he joined a multi-lines agency immediately following his graduation from Florida State University with a BS degree in Risk Management and Insurance. After six years as a property/casualty agent, adjuster, and principal with this Miami, Florida based firm, Mr. Fann relocated to Birmingham, Alabama to attend Cumberland Law School. Upon graduation in 1985, he began his legal career as an associate with Clark & Scott, P.C., becoming a partner in that firm in 1988. Mr. Fann was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 1985, to the Alabama Bar in 1985, to the District of Columbia Bar in 1986, and to the Florida Bar in 1986 and has achieved an “AV” rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In 1995, Mr. Fann became a founding member of Fann & Rea, P.C., located in Birmingham, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida, and he continues to litigate, arbitrate and mediate matters in both federal and state court for clients in Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Mr. Fann has practiced in the areas of insurance coverage litigation, professional liability, and aviation, and focuses his practice on workers' compensation, employment practices, automobile/commercial trucking, products liability, premises liability and nursing home defense. He is a member in good standing of the American Bar Association, Alabama State Bar, Florida State Bar, Georgia State Bar, District of Columbia Bar, DRI, Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, Alabama Workers’ Compensation Organization, Inc., Alabama Self-Insurers Association, and the Alabama Workers' Compensation Defense Lawyers Association, Inc. Prior to 1977, Mr. Fann was also employed as an apprentice electrician and in commercial trucking. He is licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Private Pilot with Instrument rating and Repairman Experimental Aircraft Builder.
