Paralegals
RACHELLE BRANNEN has worked in the legal field for over 22 years as a legal secretary/paralegal. She was fortunate enough to have on the job training as a paralegal and as such has been performing both secretarial and paralegal tasks for the last 15 years. Rachelle has extensive experience in assisting trial lawyers in medical malpractice and automobile defense cases. Her experience also includes personal injury, toxic tort, products liability, general liability and worker’s compensation.
PAMELA GITTINGS began a thirteen year career in the legal field working as the office administrator for a forensic psychiatrist. She became a paralegal in the area of family law prior to opening a staff counsel office for CNA Insurance in 2004. For the past three years her experience focused on insurance defense in the areas of medical malpractice, professional liability, property damage, home owners association, and personal injury. Prior to entering the legal arena, she had an extensive background in the healthcare field in both the general healthcare and mental health areas. For the past sixteen years, she has performed Court appointed guardianship/incapacity evaluations for the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court.
RENE GONZALEZ graduated summa cum laude from Florida Metropolitan University where she earned her Associates of Science degree majoring in Paralegal Studies. She is a native of Tampa Bay where she began her career as a paralegal in the area of nursing home litigation. She relocated to Ft. Lauderdale in 2005. For the past three years, her experience has primarily been focused on insurance defense in the area of medical malpractice. She has over 6 years experience as a Litigation Paralegal and has trial experience on both the State and Federal levels. René is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants and is a Certified Paralegal.
DARLYN D. KREITMAN has almost 20 years experience as a litigation paralegal focusing on areas as medical malpractice, personal injury, employment law, and commercial and construction litigation. She earned her Associates of Science degree at Broward Community College, and attended Florida Atlantic University majoring in Paralegal Studies. Darlyn’s experience includes preparing for and attending trials in State and Federal courts. In addition, Darlyn’s experience includes working for the legal department of a major national corporation conducting employment and security investigations throughout the country.
DANA CHAUNCEY LESSER earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Florida International University. She has over 15 years experience as a Litigation Paralegal in the defense of medical malpractice cases as well as experience representing plaintiffs in medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Additionally, she has extensive trial experience both in Florida state courts and Colorado state courts.
DONNA D. MAINGUTH earned her Bachelor's Degree from the
University of South Florida and was subsequently certified as a paralegal.
She has over 15 years of defense litigation experience with a focus on
nursing home law and medical malpractice defense. She has assisted with
trials on both the State and Federal levels. She is a member of the National
Federation of Paralegal Associates Inc. and the Tampa Bay Paralegal Association
where she formerly held the title of Vice President.
MAYRA E. SANCHEZ has over 15 years of experience as a Litigation
Paralegal in Insurance Defense with a strong concentration on disability
insurance defense at the trial and appellate levels in both State and
Federal Courts. In addition, her experience has been emphasized with
defense of nursing home litigation, assisted living facilities and
medical malpractice claims. Furthermore, Mayra was the Administrator of
a small insurance defense boutique law firm in Miami, Florida. Her responsibilities
included the hiring and training of Legal Assistants and Paralegals,
implementing and training staff members on litigation support software
as well as responsible for the firm’s accounting and payroll and
researching and recommending the purchase of hardware and software. Mayra
is currently enrolled in the pre-requisite program for a Registered Nurse
degree at Broward Community College in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
ANGELLA J. WINT began her 18 year career as a paralegal while working in state government. She has a wide range of litigation experience in the areas of employment law, family law, insurance defense, medical and legal malpractice, personal injury, civil and commercial litigation. For the past 5 years she has worked with a particular focus on medical malpractice, complex personal injury and civil litigation. Angella earned her Associates Degree in paralegal studies in 1991 and earned Bachelors and Masters Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. Angella is currently working toward becoming a Florida Registered Paralegal with the Florida Bar Association.
